Why so Salty?

What’s up fellow Genji mains, Ana mains, and basically anyone else who plays Overwatch and follows my blog. I feel the need to talk about this long going issue we have seen in the community, and I know I’m not the only person to address it but it needs to be said even on a relatively positive blog like mine. Now what we are gonna be talking about today is the outstanding amount of toxicity in Overwatch. For me, someone who has been playing Overwatch competitively since the game came out, I’ve seen the development of toxicity in the game. Now being the open minded person I am, I understand the feelings people have towards the game and how there attitude can change when they are one game away from getting 3000 SR and then lose because of throwers or a bad team comp. But with all honesty if someone complains on the forums about the developers changing their main why are you even playing the game. The developers feel like a hero is unbalanced so they change the hero, it’s simple. When I used to be a Lucio main they changed my hero’s boost speed and even added the healing circle replacing the in sight healing, I didn’t complain I just adapted and when Lucio became irrelevant in the future seasons, I simply switched my main to Genji for flanking tanks. Regardless, I don't think anyone should be salty in the forms because it's a horrible example of what the community is. Yes you can leave how you feel about a hero or who you think is OP in the Forums but please guys, can we do it with a little less salt. On a more positive note, below i’ve attached some really cool fanart from LightLash247. Please make sure to check them out I personally love there work as its amazing for someone who is so young.

  1. I think this is pretty common in most gaming communities. Where one group will be "salty" because of a change. Sometimes it is valid, but often the developers know what is best for the overall game. That being said I think in order to survive online gaming sometimes you have to embrace the salt.

    1. In some games like Rust this may be the case but in Overwatch embracing the salt will do nothing but piss off your team, have you lose endorsements, and get banned from playing comp.
