5 ways to keep your skin glowing
5 ways to keep your skin glowing
Maintaining clear skin can be a lot of work and be very costly. In this blog I will be talking about the five different ways to keep your skin looking nice.
Clean, clean, clean!
Healthy eating is the key to better skin
Eatinghealthy fooddoes not only benefit your body but it also helps keep your skin looking beautiful. The food we consume can affect the way our body reacts, if you eat a lot of nasty junk food your skin is more likely to have negative reactions. Unhealthy diet leads to aging skin, wrinkles, acne and oil. Nutritious foods such as broccoli, sweet potatoes, watermelon, carrots, avocados, fish and eggs help fight all sorts of blemishes the face.
Wateris such an important step for better looking skin. It has been proven that drinking six to eight glasses of water everyday helps improve your skin and your body function. Not only does water keep you hydrated but it also flushes out all the toxins in your body and helps reduce wrinklesand fight eczema giving you a healthy glowing complexion.
Natural home remedies are cheaper
Natural home remedies such as home-made facialscrubs and masks are way cheaper and more natural than store products. Most products that we find on shelves in the store contain harsh and harmful ingredientsthat can cause skin reactions such as break outs, rashes, and redness. Facial scrubs such as my favourite, honey and brown sugarhelp remove dirt. This home-made scrub moisturizes, removes bacteria on the skin, and keeps pores unclogged. Some natural DIY’s you should consider trying are:
· Honey and sugar facial scrub
· Lemon and sugar facial scrub
· Banana and oatmeal face mask
· Yogurt facial mask
· Strawberry and yogurt facial mask
Face masks
Face masks aren’t mandatory but they surely do help, they hydrate your skin and gives you even skin tones. How often should you use a face mask you ask? Well, it best to use face masks two to three times a week. Face masks such as the Indian Healing Claycomes with many benefits. The Indian Healing Clay sucks out the dirt from your pores and minimizes your pores.
I hope these tips help you improve the appearance of your skin. What tips do you use to help maintain clear skin and how has it worked for you? Ciao!
Great tips. I'm definitely guilty when it comes to not drinking enough water. I really love using tea tree oil as a spot treatment whenever I get big blemishes on my face! I swear by it.
